BDS referendum fails at King’s University College

On March 15, 2017 a referendum at King’s University College (University of Western Ontario) in London, Ontario which called for a boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Israel failed because it did not meet the required 30% threshold. Had the referendum passed, it would have given a green light to anti-Israel activists to advocate for divestment from Israeli companies.

Following bomb threats, BC government announces funding for Jewish community’s security

On March 13, 2017, the BC government announced a contribution of $100,000 to the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver, to be used for additional security for British Columbia’s 26,000 Jews following two bomb threats last week which targeted the Jewish community centre.

Vancouver Jewish centre receives bomb threats for the second time in one week
