Early Enough for March Break?

The holidays are not quite out the back door, but many places are already gearing up for this year’s march break, and you should be too, if you are planning to work or even stay sane for those extra couple of weeks.

Evergreen Brickworks (click HERE) is offering a wonderful program, if you and your kids love nature and the outdoors. This is a 5-day camp that focuses on exploring the winter forest and ravines in Toronto’s Don Valley. The program is designed for children 6-12, who will be learning about animals in nature, survival strategies, as well as plenty of outdoor play in the snow and ice. The cost is $350 per camper, with additional care available at an extra charge from 3:30-5:30.

The High Park Nature Centre (click HERE) is also offering a wonderful outdoor program called the March Break Discovery Camp. The program is intended for children 6-10 and runs 9:00 am – 3:30 pm from March 13-17. The cost is $55 per day, with an additional $10 a day for extended care till 5:00 pm.

Activities include: hiking through the park, games, and crafts.

Other great places to consider for your kids (and for your own state of mind) for the spring 2017 break are:

Harbourfront Centre (Registration opens January 3, 2017 click HERE)

Adventure Valley in Thornhill – for kids JK – Grade 6 offers camp for the full two weeks, with exciting activities, including: ceramics, Lego, ball hockey, Robotics, cooking, chess, dance, beading and more! (click HERE)
