On March 25, 2017, two days after the House of Commons passed a highly contentious Motion M-103 which seeks to condemn “Islamophobia” without defining the term, former Minister for Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness and a candidate for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada Steven Blaney, sent an email message to his supporters vowing that, if elected, he will curb incitement to violence.
Blaney cited several instances of imams in Canadian mosques, some of whom were first exposed by CIJnews, calling Jews “filth”, supporting jihad and praying to Allah to “destroy the accursed Jews” and to “kill them one by one”.
“Should Allah kill all the Jews? I don’t think so, but frighteningly, some do. After years of advocating for the murder of all infidels, especially Jews, Toronto Imam and Ryerson University teaching assistant Ayman Elkasrawy finally apologized for his words. He had to, after a youtube video surfaced in which he advocates the killing of Jews. Apparently, the speech was not intended for non-Arabic speaking Canadians. The head of the mosque said that surely the Imam did not “really mean it.” and added that “We are about peace.” An isolated incident? But it’s not the first time. Toronto Imam Said Rageah from the Abu Huraira Centre called on Allah to damn the infidel Jews and Christians in 2009. And in 2012, Another Toronto Imam, Sheikh Abdulqani Mursal of the Masjid Al Hikma Mosque says that Jews are destined to be killed by Muslims. He cited a hadith, an Islamic religious text, when he said: “You will fight against the Jews and you will kill them… Muslims [will] kill them until the Jews [will] hide themselves… and a stone or a tree [will] say: Muslim… there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him….” But wait, there’s more, sadly. On December 23rd, 2016, in Montreal, Imam Muhammad bin Musa al Nasr delivered a speech in which he said that Jews are “the most evil of mankind” and also said, to be original..: “Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me — come and kill him!” Montreal Police are now investigating. Meanwhile we’re still waiting to hear from last month’s police investigation on another Montreal Imam after a video from 2014 recently surfaced in which Montreal Imam Sheikh Wael Al-Ghitawi said: “Kill Jews one by one” and “Make their children into orphans and their wives into widows.” According to Dr. Ewis El Nagar of the Quebec Council of Imams, marrying slave girls is perfectly acceptable, but only during “legitimate” jihad against infidels. Ouch. As Public Safety Minister, I specifically wanted to curb this problem with Bill C-51. Inciting violence against others is a direct attack on Canadians’ basic fundamental rights.”
C-51, also known as the “anti-terrorism bill”, designed to strengthen the existing anti-terror legislation, was sponsored by Blaney and received Royal Ascent on June 15, 2015.
In another email, sent on March 11, 2017, email, Blaney vowed to double down on the fight against radicalization and violence and asked: “How can we decry Islamophobia and not anti-Semitism when clearly it is a very real problem today?”
