Government urged to “regularize” all illegal refugees

Following a deadly shooting of six Muslim worshippers at a Quebec City mosque in late January, Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI), a registered Canadian charity which acts as an umbrella organization for immigrant and refugee-serving agencies in Ontario, issued a statement calling on the federal government to speak out against Islamophobia and racism.

Toronto launches educational campaign addressing anti-Black racism

A new public education campaign, launched in Toronto on November 2, 2016 is designed to raise awareness about the persistence of anti-black racism socially, politically and economically. The campaign is a joint initiative between the City of Toronto and The Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI), the umbrella organization for immigrant and refugee-serving agencies in Ontario.
