Government urged to “regularize” all illegal refugees

Following a deadly shooting of six Muslim worshippers at a Quebec City mosque in late January, Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI), a registered Canadian charity which acts as an umbrella organization for immigrant and refugee-serving agencies in Ontario, issued a statement calling on the federal government to speak out against Islamophobia and racism.

Following bomb threats, BC government announces funding for Jewish community’s security

On March 13, 2017, the BC government announced a contribution of $100,000 to the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver, to be used for additional security for British Columbia’s 26,000 Jews following two bomb threats last week which targeted the Jewish community centre.

Vancouver Jewish centre receives bomb threats for the second time in one week

For the second time this week, the Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver (JCC) had to evacuate after receiving an email bomb threat on Sunday morning.
